Jaime Maussan studied journalism at the UNAM and Miami University of Ohio. He began his career in investigative journalism in 1970 and is recognized internationally for his direct and impactful investigations. He was the editor general and host of Mexico’s ‘60 Minutos’ (60 Minutes) and is known as the “Mike Wallace of Latin America”.

From politics to the environment to the paranormal, Jaime’s insatiable curiosity propels him into stories that most mainstream journalists ignore. He’s won numerous journalism awards including those for his investigation of the migration of the monarch butterfly. He received a special award on Capitol Hill for a program on population, the Premio Ondas award in Barcelona, and the Global 500 award from the United Nations. The recipient of numerous National Journalism Awards in Mexico he was also presented the "AMPRYT" award for the TV program "60 Minutos" multiple times.

He garnered recognition – and some condemnation - in 1991 when he chose to publicly investigate the wave of UFO activity in Mexico that began during the total solar eclipse over Mexico. His passion for discovering and documenting the UFO phenomenon has taken him around the world where he is recognized for his investigative abilities.

One of his more recent investigations centers on the 'unknowns' that are frequently seen around Mt. Popocatepetl outside Mexio City. The video below

Jaime currently hosts a highly rated broadcast television program in Mexico and an online television program, ‘Tercer Milenio TV’.
