Karen Shanley got her first dog, a Sheltie, at the age of 5. Dogs have been central to her life ever since. She currently has two: a six year-old Australian Shepherd, Kiera, and a three year-old Border Collie mix, Graidy. She herds with Kiera, and is getting Graidy ready for his first Rally O. Her newest project is developing a primary school for children where learning takes place using an experiential education model that incorporates the value of nature, along with a connection to the spiritual.
