Adventure and discovery was the enticement that drew Lee Elders to this wild lawless land; the supernatural world of the Shuara that live in a mystical realm of ayahuasca-induced visions where the ethereal world is encased within our third dimensional reality. Along the way he discovered his true self - his Kakarma. However incredible some of the incidents may seem this is a true story.

Thumbs up CL Radio - get the facts on soy!

Monday - April 23 - 6 PM PDT - 9 PM EDT

This is a very important program - I hope you will tune in!

Kaayla Daniel, PhD, CCN, is known as The Whole Nutritionist and she has written a wonderful book about soy, a "food" that we have been told is healthy...

But is it?
Hundreds of epidemiological, clinical and laboratory studies link soy to:
  • Allergies
  • Malnutrition
  • Digestive distress
  • Thyroid dysfunction
  • Cognitive decline
  • Reproductive disorders
  • Infertility
  • Birth defects
  • Immune system breakdown
  • Heart disease
  • Cancer
Isn't it time you learned the truth about soy that scientists know, that you need to know and that the soy industry has tried to supress? The Whole Soy Story presents and interprets the often contradictory evidence on soy and disease to determine what studies are valid, which justify hope, which are mere hype - and why.

Kaayla Danial is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN). Board certified by the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionist (IAACN), Dallas, TX, holds BA and MS degrees, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, and a Ph.D in Nutritional Sciences and Anti-Aging therapies. Union Institute and University, Cincinnati, OH. She is also a Board Member of the Weston A. Price Foundation, Washington, DC.

Tune in and get the real facts about soy!

Default Wont miss it !!!

Thank you Brit, for bringing valuable information regarding soy.

From my past experience, I wont touch it. Unfortunately, it is found in everything. Even Mayonnaise has soy in it. So I have to bring my reading glasses in every Food store, that includes Health Food stores too, and go through every ingredient on every label.

A good friend of mine explained to me that the soy that we have here is not fermeneted. She compares eating this soy with a person that is buying corn kernels to make pop corn and its the kernels raw. That is how soy is presented to us here in soy milk or mixed-in different foods.

I am looking forward to this show!!

I sure will be tuning in !!!!

Hugs and Love
Pema

Default Alright, now~ Some soy milk, is listed as organic, I saw, today in the market,

But is it, all organic. Some is, light soy, I noticed. So is organic, differant than just soy. It sure seems like I've seen other, beside organic. I've not had any, in some time, but I don't believe I ever had any, problems, and in fact, I noticed the tast differance from other milk, and I do, like it.

Hi Jan
Unless it says organic - it isn't. The reason you like the taste is that most soy milks have quite a bit of sugar added to them.

But this isn't just about organic vs. GM - it's about soy -
I just posted my April newsletter for Cooking in the Lite - it's all about soy... it's on the site for those who wish to read.

On my taboo list... soy is neck and neck with sugar!

Good morning, to you, Brit!
Sure thing, I'll check out the newsletter, appreciate it. Its nice to be able to read it, now. If its got more sugar, then, its out of my ice box, for always and ever! Straight milk, all my life, anyway.

Brit--glad to see this getting some attention!

It would benice to get this out of foods...as one with an allergy to the stuff..shopping takes forever..because even "safe"foods don'tstay that way...when the add soy, they don't have to put "new" formula on the label....I let my guard down and I get very very sick!

Try to find a multivitamin without it! hah!

My allergist says they expect in 7 years or so for soy to overtake peanutsasthe #1 allergy because it is so overused!

Echoing Peg here...yes, Glad to see this getting some light.

Over the past 6 months, I had been drinking more soy milk and my menstrual cycle got totally wacked out. Speaking to a woman at a local healthfood store, once I described what I was experiencing...her first question was about my soy intake. She had the same issues as I did and her homiopath told her about the trouble with Soy.

I am also concerned about my mother, who was told by her doctor that soy would be good for her. The words "Cognitive decline" are flashng red lights to us. Willbe listening to CL and taking notes. Thanks Brit, this IS am extremely show. Obviously, many people (and doctors) bought into this so called "food of the future"

Default The Whole Soy Story: Is there SOY in BIOIDENTICAL HORMONES?

I recently finished reading "AGELESS...THE NAKED TRUTH ABOUT BIOIDENTICAL HORMONES".....BY SUZANNE SOMERS.....and wanted to know if these natural non-synthetic hormones are derived from SOY....I found the Cooking In The Light Show on SOY to be facinating and my mind is boggled !!

Hi NYS - bio-identical hormones are not from soy as soy is more estrogen and not progesterone. Cyn has done extensive clinical work in this area - maybe she will give you the nuts & bolts? Cyn?
