Adventure and discovery was the enticement that drew Lee Elders to this wild lawless land; the supernatural world of the Shuara that live in a mystical realm of ayahuasca-induced visions where the ethereal world is encased within our third dimensional reality. Along the way he discovered his true self - his Kakarma. However incredible some of the incidents may seem this is a true story.

Default Cowan, David Ian. Navigating the Collapse of Time

What's a lawyer to do after getting out of a deposition a little early? Why . . . head to the closest local pub and start a new book, of course! SM interviewed Cowan sometime in 2011 or 2012 about this book. It was such a great interview that I was compelled to get the book.

Anyone care to join me?

Namaste from the Midwest,
steph

Here's a good opening quote from Cowan's introduction:

---
"Fear always results in some form of contraction--and contraction is not compatible with seeing the Big Picture. Contraction supports a compromised level of consciousness. When we are afraid, we tend to revert to the known, to past conditioning, cutting off our ability to think creatively." (Intro. at p. xx).
---
Question: What are we so afraid of?! Death? Don't we know that is going to happen no matter what (thank the goddess)? Pain? Embarrassment? What is it? . . . Or, perhaps the better question (SM) is "what if? . . ."

Namaste from the midwest,
steph

p.s. I do note, however, that when animals (including humans) are fearful, our pupils tend to dilate, not "contract." Interesting.

Well, it's a darn good sign when I have so many sentences underlined in just the introduction of a book. Here's another good thought provoker:

---
"The inherent wisdom and knowledge that is revealed in this 'unlearning' is your birthright. The knowledge of who you are as a Divine Creation is in safe-keeping within you. Remembering and finding out is the great adventure."
---

What a great adventure we are all on here, no?! I love the feeling of trying to remember something that I've forgotten. That is what I am doing here, I think.

. . . . and . . . when the last sentence of an introduction is, "Forgive us, Creator, for we are all insane here," you know it's gonna be a great book!

Sounds really interesting, Steph. I am going to go back and listen to the interview again. If it sparks something in me, I will get the book. By the way, I love the image of you sitting in the local pub, having a drink, underlining sentences in the book and eating peanuts! Sounds great!
Love,
Joanne
