Many thanks for popping in and your kind words.

I really appreciate that.

I got a milk chocolate gold bunny & had a dinner party with family on Sunday.

I really enjoyed and it was fun watching my 2-year-old nephew Joey with his new scooter.

We ate a polish meal cooked by my sister-in-law who's from eastern europe accompanied by white wine and rice pudding for dessert.

Btw once again I want to express my sheer delight in seeing you here.

Question Hey, Paula ~ SOS!!!

Hi, Paula! Your Easter sounded great! Funny; I had never given any thought to a Polish Easter menu until just last week, when my chiropractor's wife lamented to me that they'd gone to her husband's mother's home for Easter - she's Polish - and there was not one single green thing to eat! Karen (the wife) is a veggie addict so she was essentially appalled by the meal! Not a green bean or a leaf of lettuce to be found anywhere on the premises!

So my question to you, dear Paula, is: I know you had white stuff to eat on Easter (wine, pudding), but ... anything green on YOUR plate?????

Just really curious about this!!

(lol, yuh, I know - I need to get a life )

Well my dear friend Lura, that's a great question cuz I can't recall ever seeing greens on my plate from anything cooked by Beata - maybe she hates vegetables but is really good in making carrot soup.

Very similar to my grandma's in the 60s decade.

I am of portuguese origin so I grew up eating plenty leafy green soup and all sorts of fruit and veg.

Foods with garlic and olive oil but of course I do enjoy a macdonalds burger now and again.

The best fish and chips in england are from seaside towns such as blackpool - what do you eat in the monastery? I once saw a documentary about Roman catholic monks in worthy abbey, west Sussex and they seemed well fed - bangers and mash and red wine.
