I haven´t posted for a long time now and thought I had to refresh a little my excellent english
I have read few books and posts here about meditation in the last 7 years or so. Sometimes I´ve been active in doing meditations, but for the last months it has finally found it´s place in my daily routine. I went to a course on Raja yogha and was very pleased with it , so now I mostly use the technic they recomment.

What was difficult for me in the beginning had to do with where they locate the soul , in the forehead where the third eye is. I had always concentrated on the heart chakra and somehow I always thought and felt like my soul was there. When I first started with concentrating on my soul at the " new place" I somtimes experianced headaches but know I'm getting to like this a lot. Feels like I´m able to flow more above the emotions of the heart , sort of.

Do you have any thoughts or experiance about this thing ?

Here is one opinion: The soul chakra is located midway between the navel and base of the spine. ... Solar Plexus Chakra. (The yellow one.)

Here is another: The eighth chakra is commonly called the soul star chakra or seat of the soul. It is located above the top of the head... above the crown chakra.

These are the two most common places that I have heard of. I found both of these answers on Google. Personally, I'm with you... I am confused too. So maybe exercising all three chakras (including the heart chakra) is the best answer.... Love, C.

Hi dear Loa! We have missed you. Welcome back.

What an interesting question. I sometimes think its the other way around, meaning that we are encased (physically) within our soul. Kind of like a tree branch that is encased in ice (representative of the crystaline soul energy).

With the knowing that all is connected, I can see that through our feelings in the Solar Plexus area, we reflect on them through the loving energy of our Heart, and travel through the tunnel of our 3rd Eye Chakra to soar through the expansion of our Being. I have heard there is not only an 8th Chakra, but 9 through 12, but that kind of sounds limiting.

Perhaps an additional question to this is...does our soul have boundaries? Or, if all is One, is there, somewhere, a moment in Allness, where I cannot discern where I 'end' and you begin?

Maybe one answer is ... your Soul is located where you feel is right for you.

Your opinions all sound interesting , I like the one that the body is part of the soul. Chi , I always felt like you about this. But now I wonder if some things we feel in the heart are not always related to our pure soul / higher self , ahh hope you understand what I mean

Somtimes I look forward to the day when I´ll " know more " ... even though these questions is what makes life interesting to me in a way. All the spiritual specialists seem to have different views on this topic .... so I guess we have to find out what feels right for us individually .. or like Cher suggests ... meditate on every corner of the body , just in case heheh

Oh, Loa, what a beautiful question that just invited me to reply to you.

In your question, where does the soul reside, it is like asking where does "God" reside? Where does the "All That Is" reside? For certainly we each are a "Whole" being within the "Whole OF Being".

And then it came to me, that I, my soul, resides in everything that I perceive in my consciousness. Therefore, I am only able to express my soul knowing from my consciousness which in turn is expressed through my perceptions. So, then, my Soul resides in my perceptions. Because, if it isn't in my consiousness, I cannot perceive it, it just doesn't exist for me.

Therefore, my "Soul" is not contained soley within this physical body in which I currently reside but also in everything and everyone I come in contact with. My "Soul" encompasses my whole ability to perceive within sight, feeling and the greater portion thereof in cognitive knowing, the place in consciousness that has no specific location.

Thank you for this question, it certainly expanded me.

Beautifully said dear Deb I too think that perceptions is a big part of this , can it be that our physical brain somtimes kind of gets in our way when we perceive - gets in the soul way but the meditaiton helps the soul to bloom and perceive in the true way?
They at Brahma Kumaris / raja yogha teach that we have always been souls. Sometimes , me .. the soul , dwells in what they call , The land of peace and they like to think that the nature of every soul is to be at peace. We reside in our bodies to be able to be in contact with other souls and experiance. We tend to forget about our true nature , that is the nature of soul as we grow older and forget who we are. WEll this is a very simple version of their vision on these things. Chi .. they talked about karma but I´'m afraid I don´t remember it well enough to express me about it here., I am too asking myself questions like this and have not yet learned enough about their explainations. I will take things out that sounds right to me from this course.

It´s always so healthy and good to hear what you people have to say when I experiance my spiritual dialemmas
