Adventure and discovery was the enticement that drew Lee Elders to this wild lawless land; the supernatural world of the Shuara that live in a mystical realm of ayahuasca-induced visions where the ethereal world is encased within our third dimensional reality. Along the way he discovered his true self - his Kakarma. However incredible some of the incidents may seem this is a true story.

Like everyone else I love your movies and books. I have enjoyed all your talents over the years in everything you have shared with us. Since I joined this website a few years ago I have come to know you in a different and a little more personal way, through your IE interviews and in chat, and because of that I appreciate you more than ever. You are not just a talented celebrity, but someone I think of as a friend. Your intelligent, inquisitive mind has entertained me by asking all the questions I would have wanted guests to answer, and then some.

I think back to my first few weeks as a member here.
I came into the chat room for the second time and there you were. Nobody else was in the room that night, only you. I wanted to click right out but I knew you had seen my entrance and so I stayed, worried about what I would say. You opened the conversation by asking me about a party I had mentioned the week before. I was helping a friend, who had broken her hand, make food for her friends birthday party. You asked if I had taken your advice to email Brit for recipes. I was so pleased and amazed that you actually remembered me and what I had talked about.
You became a real person, not just someone who I had seen in film and whose name was on some books I had read. You were someone who really was interested in people and listened to what they said.

I remember you saying once that you would live to be 91 and then you will decide whether you want to stick around this life longer or move on to a new adventure. LOL! I hope you decide to stick around to keep sharing all that you have to share.

Happy Birthday!, Shirley.

Much love,
A D (A Dreamer)

Well, i think it starts (in all of our lifetimes) with variations of
"Don't fall off the mountain"...

This time it was a book -
and suddenly i knew;
my inner child knew
to run to you.

The years do pass
and soon
all my other parts
know too;
to run to you.

And they do;
They still do -
always run to you.

i wish you a birthday filled with beauty and magic and love.
Thank you for teaching me a thing or two about inner space
and creativity and for being "the first one" to fill me...
to truly fill me... when i was quite young...
with the power of imagination and love.

Joy and Light,

Default Happy Birthday Shirley...

and (of course) wishing you many happy returns, and I also posted the below in Happenings:Tue, April 20, 2010 6:17:34 PM

Did you know that it's Beautiful Women Month?(Is it just a coinicidence that this month is Shirley's Birthday as well?) -
Well, it is and that means you !!!(all women of the world, and especially this site!)

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her 'beauty tips.'

It was read at her funeral years later.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

[B]I[SIZE=4]f you[FONT=Georgia] share this with another woman, something good will happen . . You will boost another woman's self esteem, and she will know that you care about her.

Peace, Azure/2010

Default Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday, Shirley!

It is amazing to me that I have loved you for so long. I mean, you've been in my life since I was 11 years old (1969) so I feel like I've "known" you forever. You helped a young, little red haired girl so many times and didn't even know it. You were accessible to me and let me express myself through many letters to you when I was younger - and as I grew into myself.

Thank you for your brilliant books, your "oh my God, how does she do that?" dancing, fun-filled "never will forget this night" stage shows, this fantastic website (and I know I should visit more often), your amazing acting and, most of all, thank you for that heart and how much you give.

I am forever grateful to you for sharing your life with all of us and look forward to what you will do next since you always seem to surprise.

With warmest wishes for a beautiful birthday! And by the way, I think about you when I read the quote below.
Don't you hear it? she asked & I shook my head no & then she started to dance & suddenly there was music everywhere & it went on for a very long time & when I finally found words all I could say was thank you. "Unheard Music" by Brian Andreas from Mostly True Collected Stories & Drawings

Many happy returns, Ms. Shirley. Thank you for the inspiration and guidance. I think what has proved most useful to me has been your dogged determination to seek out answers, to become a better person, to continually strive to improve yourself and your world.
