Default Five-year-old shoots his baby sister with his OWN rifle

http://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...c946_story.html

There are so many things wrong here. The child gets given a rifle as a gift, he's playing with it unsupervised (like it was a water pistol or something), and the family don't realise there's a bullet in it... and he's obviously pointed it at his baby sister.

That poor, poor family.

Paula, I agree, there is so much wrong with this you don't even know where to begin. When will people learn that guns are not something to be dealt with casually? The parents were totally negligible and are now dealing with the outcome. When will people wake up?? These deaths are so preventable!
