Adventure and discovery was the enticement that drew Lee Elders to this wild lawless land; the supernatural world of the Shuara that live in a mystical realm of ayahuasca-induced visions where the ethereal world is encased within our third dimensional reality. Along the way he discovered his true self - his Kakarma. However incredible some of the incidents may seem this is a true story.

Hi MM,

I heard a review of this the other day. The reviewer said that he would not call it entertainment. Mel Gibson has gone overboard with the violence again.
He said it is an appalling bloodbath. You see head after head decapitated and then watch the heads and bodies roll down the sides of the temple.

I am not sure yet whether I will subject myself. Chicken! Hahahah!

Lightbulb Well,

It sounds realistic to me. That is how it was, and that is how they were!
They actually wore the human skins of their enemies.

In this lovely mural from Bonampak prisoners are shown suffering with their fingernails pulled out before the war chiefs, but dont worry, they did not suffer long, for they are about to have their hearts ripped from their chests, and then beheaded.

Default not me

I will not go to see any more of Gibson's films and support his church in Malibu. Look at the majority of films he's made - they're all exceedingly violent and graphic. Why is this man obsessed with these kinds of films? Yes, he's made an occasional drama or comedy without the blood and gore, not saying he hasn't. But this anger and biblical theme seems to dominate his views in these violent films. I think he doesn't understand a lot about the Source, about Jesus, about Christianity, etc. Yes, violence exists, it existed in the past, and sure wish it would not exist at all. Does that mean we have to capitalize on it? Does it make people sick enough to say enough? Or "we want more"? I don't agree with Gibson's views and won't support him.

Lightbulb Elle

I don't agree with Gibson's views either....

Yet his films are historically accurate....

but only to a point.
