A cold bath doesn't sound like much fun though and makes me think how useful those old hip baths would have been.

The concept for the water collection is pretty simple. We will be building a small concrete trough running all the way around the dome and then at the lowest point will have the run off piped into a holding tank of about 2,000 gal. capacity. Right now this system is temporarily on hold because of other more pressing matters. The area for the tank has been cleared and leveled but that's about it. The domes seem ready made for such a system but even a normal home could be adapted to collect at least some water I would think.

We are talking about grey water, not for drinking but it might help water the garden or a few fruit trees. If it was fresh enough it could be used for the animals. In order to use it for drinking you would have to include special filters and stuff.

Apparently Buddha and Confucius had the same birthdate...500 BCE....the midpoint of the great cycle...of the mayan calendar...

I have been reading so much on the progression of the calendar...that even if these dates are mythical, the consciousness during this time was all relevant, reincarnation and individual thought was formed...
