Default Fasting for a friend--do I tell her?

I have a friend who needs emotional healing and she has dedicated herself to a period of fasting and prayer. I have decided to join her in fasting with the purpose of my fast being healing for her. I believe that prayer and fasting are more powerful in groups, but I also want to show her that I support her.

The reason I want to show my support by fasting is because I have no words or wisdom or comfort for her. I just don't know what to say. She has shared so much wisdom and comfort with me, I just want to give back. I really don't know how else to help her but by fasting.

But, I don't know whether to tell her I am fasting with her or not. I want to because I want her to KNOW that I support her, but I don't know if telling her is the right thing to do. I am afraid that telling her would sort of be imposing on her fast.

What do you think?

Default For S_Amberly

Just found this post....
It feels to me that it would be wise to tell her as well, if you haven't already done so. And, I agree with Shirley that you are joining in her experience.

Stay well....

Sending you Love and Light,

Wolfdog
