In February, Neptune entered Pisces - its natural home. Neptune is known for mystical kinship and opening the doorways to Spirit. Pisces is a water sign, the fish being "consciousness" under water or yet to become conscious.
Astrologers have gone though history to note that every major shift in religion has happened during a 13 year period where Neptune glides through Pisces: the birth and spread of Islam, birth of Christianity, the Reformation and other major religious events. So I am curious about what you think for this time around? What is in store for planet Earth spiritually for the next 13 years? Rick |

I’ve been talking about pisces energy with a friend on and off over the past few months. We both have mars in pisces which isn’t the easiest placement for mars. We wondered what motivated pisces and how it moved/acted in the world – and what we came up with is – pisces can be, like everything else – balanced and out of balance. It seems that sometimes it looks for something really strong and defined to attach to or at other times it’s diffuse and vague and indecisive in the extreme.
We think this happens when the sensitivities of pisces are not supported in the person on the one hand or on the other when the sensitivities are not channeled productively. A balance, we figured would mean making a decision and effort to support personally the pisces energy - to give it the time and support it needs to be heard. Then, there's no being a doormat or attaching to something stronger - or being vague. But rather a moving forward using the piscean energy itself. How I would relate these ideas to the question is to apply them to the spirituality and the consciousness of Neptune – I would say then, that over the next 13 years, people could turn to their spiritual natures in various ways. First, if they were not used to or didn't know how to use piscean energy in a balanced way I think some might turn to institutions that have strong guidelines – maybe go back to traditional religions or follow a structured path somehow that was set out clearly – and others might just dabble or try different things but never really settle. It’s also possible they could become sort of doormat servents – I mean really subsume their lives to some spiritual calling – possibly not in the most positive or balanced way, cults even since pisces is prone to addiction. Then there’s the balanced piscean energy which I think could be most interesting – I think if people listened to the sensitivity and subtleties of the neptune in pisces energy people could really find and live their spirituality in ways that are right for them and maybe infusing sensitivity and spirituality into their entire lives because maybe being in neptune the energy would be strong enough for this now. I’ve heard that Pluto is in Capricorn as well for a while and I think that refers to people plumbing their depths and looking into their deepest values. I think pisces and capricorn energies are complimentary. Capricorn likes practicality and little steps and pluto being in capricorn means, possibly moving to the depths in little steps or in practical ways and also these depths affecting social organizations, institutions and business. Neptune in Pisces with that might just help give the energy of moving spirituality into all of these areas in small steps. I think it could mean a bit of confusion at first (piscean energy) and depending on the way the piscean energy is expressed – it could be a very spiritual and strong energy in some places where we haven’t seen it for a while – if ever – like business etc. How's that? ![]()

Your ideas are terrific! I also resonate with your Pluto in Capricorn analysis. Pluto is crossing my ascendant in Capricorn over the next few years.
However, there is nothing subtle about Pluto's presence. When it shows up, it may be showing a person that all those baby steps were already taken. Now it's time to take stock of exactly where one really is - honestly. I think there is something to your idea of a synthesis between the Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn energies. Also, don't overlook the Pluto/Uranus square that is starting to form and will become stronger in the coming months. So we will be shown "what has wounded us" and the breakthrough we can expect if we choose to heal it. The balance of Neptune/Pisces for me, looks like this: Where do I need to let go? What will enrich my spiritual life? What do I need to protect for the sake of spirit? vs Where do I fall to delusion? What is coming up when I turn to behaviors that are limiting? |
