When I saw Shirley's show last week in CT, she was gracious enough to sign books for everyone after the show. They were sellling her books in the lobby of the theatre. Although I already have all of her books, I decided to buy another copy of Sageing While Aging. My original copy is filled with highlighted passages and turned over pages. My new copy is pristine with the inscription "Love, Shirley MacLaine." If any of you still haven't read this book, I would strongly urge you to do so. It is filled with so much diverse information, I'm sure you will learn something from this book that that you did not know before. This book is one of my favorite Shirley books--along with Out on a Limb, Going Within and The Camino. By the way, Shirley is beautiful in person!

I still have four books of hers to read. I read 8 out of the 12 in three months. So for now taking a break to really digest everything I read. Plan to go over all my notes and highlights I took from her books to read to question and think more. My favorite three and its very hard to pick favorites as all of them were insightful in their own right.

A friend of ours gave us the audio book of Sageing While Aging just before we left Southern California on a road trip to the Pacific Northwest. It made the trip a lot more interesting and created some interesting discussion. It was great to hear Shirley tell the story while I drove. Shirley was our third passenger and entertainment on the road. Good times... After arriving in the PNW I handed it off to another friend and I am sure she has handed it off to someone else. It's a great listen/read.
