Adventure and discovery was the enticement that drew Lee Elders to this wild lawless land; the supernatural world of the Shuara that live in a mystical realm of ayahuasca-induced visions where the ethereal world is encased within our third dimensional reality. Along the way he discovered his true self - his Kakarma. However incredible some of the incidents may seem this is a true story.

Default Life of Walter Mitty

I went to see this movie tonight and wow! Not what I expected at all. The cinematography was amazing. Really artistic, music was cool, Shirley's part was small but great. I found myself just smiling throughout the whole thing.

I agree that this is a fantastic movie. My husband and I are planning a trip to Iceland this summer after seeing the movie. Shirley's part was small but so important to the plot. I hope everyone gets a chance to see this--I think you will really enjoy it!!

Talking Propaganda Actors and Movies For US Politics at the Academy Awards

Moving on to a larger issue (and perhaps a much larger role) can, can anyone clarify why there seems to be a growing majority of actors, and movies including those at the Academy Awards that are simply there to distort the truth, the human condition, just to "rule" public opinion and the masses?? Keep everyone uneducated to the truth so absolutely no one can have a well rounded educated opinion that is based on facts not forced propaganda that's forced down the throats of the masses just to satisfy the propaganda greed, egos and vanity of certain US political parties. Do we all have to lower our standards, and cheapen our talent just to satisfy those who continuously abuse their power and authority?

truly strong do not lord it over the weak. People of genuine
strength and courage battle the powerful, the arrogant, the authoritarian, the evil and corrupt-all who look down on the people with contempt."

Thumbs up

I saw "Walter Mitty" on Christmas weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I guess I didn't really think of Shirley's part as small because if you think about it....the only person in every frame was Ben Stiller and Shirley's part saved the day!!!

i saw Ben Stiller's version of The Secret Life of Walter's Mitty
today on HBO for the first time. i guess i have to confess that
Ben Stiller's characters have never made a great impression
on me and i thought this would just turn into another
one of
those ditsy roles for his. That being said, i
decided to wait
until the film made it to "On Demand"
so i could fast forward
to Shirley's parts if i found him
boring again. And today there it was.

i was very wrong. One can see as the film rolls that
Ben Stiller's heart and soul are
in this film and Shirley
MacLaine's supporting role
is integral on the screen
and maybe even off the screen as well.

There is so much to see in this film; so many messages.
On the
surface is the cinematography that captures the
vastness of the isolated places of the world...
and as the story unfolds
that becomes synonymous with
the beautiful
vastness of the unencumbered human spirit.
In these isolated
places we find ourselves in the midst
of Mother Earth's true
nature and (being in the presence
that) it awakens us to our
own true nature. The need to
go there; to do that now and then
in order to return to
ourselves and grow is so important. How
anyone can
possibly think that Mother Earth does not have

consciousness is beyond me.

i see the photographer in this film as an enlightened soul
who sends a negative to Mitty that becomes the catalyst
for the journey that will transforms his
very sense of being
for the positive. i love that metaphor that Mitty
is a
negative assessor for Life.

Another message i received is about that law of attraction and
how it relates (not only to our actions) but also to what we dwell
about how we desire to be or not to be. What we imagine is
often as
significant to the process of reaching a conscious or
unconscious goal
as the physical steps we take toward it. In the
case of Mitty, he's
been transforming negatives into positives
for years. He's been
imagining himself as what he eventually
becomes for years.

i loved this movie, maybe because i'm such a dreamer myself;
dreaming is my bliss.

Thank you for being in this movie Shirley. i never would've seen
otherwise, because of my preconceptions regarding Ben Stiller.
i was
wrong about him. And you were GREAT in this roll.

Love, Chi
