Dear God,

Today in the US, we celebrate and reflect on labor and the
multitude of workers who keep our civilization functioning.
There are millions of people working,
some in familiar places and others hold unusual jobs.
There are also many people who are seeking employment.
Whatever work we currently perform,
Our common job is sharing love and caring for one another.
May each of us use our skills and talents as You direct.
Help us remember that it takes all of us, working together.
May we find balance between labor and leisure.
Help us recreate our society so that each person has opportunities and
meaningful ways to earn a living.
Today, we bless each person and all the ways we serve one another.
We give You our thanks and we let it be.
