Wanted to share some news that hopefully will put a smile on your faces. I know most of you don't know me well enough and I am brand new member. I am an aspiring actress working very hard to make it. I've done theatre since I was 13 years old. And finally last year I began film acting. Jonah Lives is a feature length thriller independent film about six teenagers who on a bored rainy night play the Ouija Board and awaken a great evil. The movie isn't like any other horror film out there. It doesn't rely on sex, extreme violence, nudity or any of that jazz. There's a true story being played before you. A story of faith, of respect, of believing. I play Barbra the lead, the heroine of the film. Words can't describe this crazy rollercoaster ride I've been on with just this one film alone. I've done over 20 productions from shorts, to PSA's to student films to more prestigious feature films here in New England but Jonah Lives is the biggest production to date I've acted in. I went Emerson College in Boston and graduated there. Acting is my life and passion amongst other things creative. When I met Shirley back in March I had asked her how can future generations of creative artists change the course Hollywood has taken? She said with no doubt in her heart Independent Movies are the way to change. It just makes sense. Hollywood has lost or is losing its original intention which is to entertain, to inspire, to provoke feelings, to challenge the audience not dumb down audiences as the majority of films are doing now. She had no idea I was going to experience my first ever premiere only a few weeks later. And I feel like I am on the right path. I am helping pave that way in my own right. Keeping my dreams alive. It was such an amazing feeling to see my name on a big screen for the first time with two sold out showings in one night. I can go on and on about that night and how I love my craft and how much movies, and creativity as a whole inspires me and moves me in life but I'd be writing a novel. I am happy to say Jonah Lives has finally had its FIRST review on an online magazine and it's a positive one! What a great way to begin! Feel free to read it online it's on page 4. Here is the link. I watched the videos posted on the internet. I don't know as much about auditions as industry insiders. I did like yours. There was a time that I could brag that I had seen every horror movie ever made. I have been trying to catch up. I hope to see this one. I am glad you got a part. I have heard that it can be harder than winning the lottery. Please keep the updates coming.
P.S. I could see you playing a part in the series - "The River" If you watch it a couple of times...you might agree.

I have never heard of that t.v show. (I haven't watched tv in years except the award shows). I will look into it. Thank you. I really hope Jonah Lives does well and hopefully gets picked up for distribution. Just got to keep hustling

I am very excited to announce that I will be performing the New Play Festival. It will be performed on Thursday, June 14 at the Casino Theatre in Newport Rhode Island!!! I get a chance to get back into theatre again for a brief time and how ironic that the character I am playing is named Chance! So excited!!

Thank you One Light. That is so sweet of you. I can feel the positivity in this forum already. Glad I joined. Off to bed now. Excited I have a second photo shoot in Boston in the A.M. and then heading to Rhode Island to film the short indie film A Search For Home which I am the lead in. This week has been hard and trying. Pretty much unemployed, lots of stresses in my personal life, health is very rocky right now. But I keep smiling. I keep working. I keep shining on. When I lose everything else...I still have my goals and my dreams. ♥
