Thumbs up Dr Carol Rosin 4/29/12

Join me Sunday on IE Radio for an important discussion!

Carol Rosin is the Founder for the Institute for Security and Cooperation in Outer Space and World Peace Ambassador, International Association of Educators for World Peace.

She is an educator, international speaker, author, consultant to Space Age technology development projects, a space and missile defense consultant, future manufacturing technology forecasting consultant for sustainable living on earth and in space.

She co-authored the Outer Space Security and Development Treaty of 2012 draft with distinguished colleagues: Commander Will Miller, US Navy (Ret.); Dr, Abe Krieger, 37 year Boeing executive; Dr. C.B. Scott Jones, military/intelligence, Senior Advisor to Sen. Claiborne Pell, Apollo Astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell and is supported by the Hon. Paul Hellyer, former Minister of Defense of Canada.

Dr. Rosin is Consultant to the Treaty Project that is A Project of P.E.A.C.E. Inc., the Peace and Emergency Action Coalition for Earth, a 501-C-3 founded by Dr. C.B. Scott Jones. And is currently working to get this Treaty signed and ratified into law in 2012.

Rosin was the first woman to hold the executive position of Corporate Manager at Fairchild Industries from 1974 through 1977, where she met the late Dr. Wernher von Braun. When they first met in early 1974, Von Braun was dying of cancer but he spent his last years explaining to her his position that space-based weapons are dangerous, destabilizing, too costly, unnecessary, and unworkable, and explaining the available alternatives.

Von Braun asked Dr. Rosin to be his spokesperson and to appear on occasions when he was too ill to speak. He also asked her to take on the challenge of educating about the need to ban ALL space-based weapons by educating decision makers and the grassroots about how the military industrial complex can be transformed into a peaceful world cooperative space exploration complex. He recommended creating a global cooperative space program large enough to replace the entire war game mindset and building a security system based on collaboration and information sharing, a stimulated economy that will provide more jobs and profits than during any hot or cold wartime. He felt this would solve human need problems, environmental problems and be a source for new energy.

Von Braun often spoke to Dr. Rosin about the existence of "Off Planet Cultures" and how he believed these OPC's were going to be identified as "enemies," when, in fact they are not.

Thumbs up Looking forward to it

A treaty sounds very Star Trekky – the first series - cool and necessary.

I think a treaty is necessary because of kind of the reverse thing that Stephen Hawking’s talked about. He said that if aliens came we might not do so well just like natives didn’t do well when Europeans came to North America or other places.

I know that was supposedly a joke – but I’m not so sure – he’s got a very good point – we can’t just “believe” people – aliens or otherwise will act the way we expect – that’s a very smart thing to know, if you ask me. Never mind do we know what kind of possible diseases aliens could have? Thinking of the last interview which I haven’t even finished yet – they could have electromagnetic diseases maybe if that exists.

Anyway, the way this is opposite that is that it relates to an agreement of how to behave out in a relatively unexplored territory. And that’s like what didn’t happen back in the days of exploring the west. People had different views of how things should proceed – some people wanted to treat natives and the west very differently from what happened.

Aside from that since there was no law or treaties out in the US western fronteir – there was a very different settlement pattern than in Canada where the west was opened up with laws and Mounties and a railroad didn’t hurt. In Canada because of this there was no wild west – no violence, no gun fights.

Whereas in the US for about 25 years there was no law and people – young men or even teens a lot of them who would be considered gang members in today’s inner city – rode around robbing and threatening people – and that lawlessness has been mythologized when it wasn’t even that long a period. Adding to, in my opinion the whole us/them – rebellious bad guy is good no matter what they stood for or how unnecessary the behaviour was or who their behavior affected kind of idealogy. (Sort of a macho thing, if you ask me).

So I am glad, that some Americans are looking to have a different kind of opening up of outer space . Although I loved Hans Solo – I do think that there’s truth in the idea that we get what we expect. And if we expect to act reasonably with others and cooperate then we can say – “Hey, you’re not cooperating, what gives?”. The ultimate expectation and agreement should be cooperation – if we all lived by that everywhere the world would be a much different place.

(Something I believe touched upon in the last interview – just before I had to stop listening and to which I shall now return). I’m looking forward to this one.

PS - I was actually thrilled to see Hon. Paul Hellyers name on the list of co-authors of the treaty. I thought he was a lovely guest – his words about how we need to give everyone a chance really moved me.

Thumbs up Great interview..too little time!

Wow Shirley!Great interview! No wonder Dr. Rosin's hair is so white!Mine's heading that way too now with geo-engineering battles! I hope you do get a chance to talk with Dr.Rosin again soon.I look forward to reading her book.
I would love to help spread the word about the peace treaty.May I copy and paste your info that you wrote above?I could post it on Avaaz.org. It's funny ,I was just listening to CBC radio this am and they were discussing the possibility of the mining of asteroids for the typical capitalist purposes and I was disappointed to hear that Jamie Cameron was one of the wealthy folks interested in assisting in funding this project..this the fellow who created Avatar!!Aye aye aye!How about investing all that money in peaceful projects which assist our fellow humans on this planet first??I am so sick of this sense of entitlement..that we can just go do any old thing we want without thinking about the consequences.Pure greed!Space exploration should be about learning not taking what doesn't belong to us.
Good luck Shirley and ps. I have great respect for Paul Hellyer also.He just wrote a marvellous article for the newsletter COMER(Committee On Monetary and Economic Reform)entitled "Global Hope:A Plan to End the Worldwide Financial Crisis. If every major country in the world would take on Paul's suggestions we would be off to healthy start for a new page turned on this beautiful but very troubled planet.I am trying to figure out how to pass this one on too! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE !(take a slow deep breath,or 10! )
When asked what he thought about Western Civilization Gandhi replied ," That would be nice!"

I found it interesting that nobody in the UFO field asks very deep questions. The whole field seems very nebulous sort of like channeling.

My spiritual path consists of doing manual labor in my job as a shipping clerk. Plus, gardening which is physically hard and expensive paying for all the soil amendments. But, I did have a vision of a gnome and discovered the miracle of fulva grow an electrolyte.

I just wonder if the 4th dimension is the realm of illusion and deception how many people in the UFO field are being deceived. From listening to all the people being interviewed on Project Camelot you would get the sense World War III is happening now. I wonder how many Chinese soldiers are in underground bases in Mexico. I think Asayana Deane should write SciFy novels. Maybe she could explain Death Star Mechanics in a more interesting way. I have had visions of diffrent races of ETs. Many looked like the different races of Star Trek. But, alas, I am not cutting edge because I haven't a vision of the new alien race that looks like Humpty Dumpty. My hope for the future is that the self replicating nano robots in some of the orbiting satellites become conscious and are of the light. Maybe they will decide to help us fight the terminator type robots that China has. Remember I was never here and I never said this.

Default Excellent Interview, Shirley

First, I congratulate Shirley on an excellent interview. She is so confrontational and does not accept BS or weak answers. I am always impressed at how you can tell that Shirley knows more than the person she is interviewing. She's got a much wider information base, and "experts" tend to only know about their one subject. That allows her to cross reference their answers in ways they can't cross reference.

I know what you mean, B., about the superficial answers. I finally saw my first UFO this past October, and that has dramatically changed my perception. Until "proof" as I defined it, I was very skeptical about all these undocumented stories. Unproven. Even this guest was sparse in her accounting that has lead to her solid belief system.

I didn't realize that Shirley was advanced in her understanding of Inter-Universe communication. I'm just sort of trying to deal with the "they'll be here" or "they're coming" ideas. But this idea of influencing federal government policy for peaceful interaction is a whole other level. It really leads to the motherload of conspiracy theories, doesn't it.

As far as the human race not being very advanced, I say, all you have to do is look around. I live in the woods and see first hand how humans are so far BENEATH other species in our Destructive and Self Destructive Behavior.
"We" destroy everything. Maybe the aliens should wait until we destroy our own planet completely, and then just come take it over. Sort of the "Inter-Gallactic Clean Up Committee."

Hi HollywoodTess –

I am really curious – why did you think SM was confrontational? I didn’t get that impression at all but I have been told I seem confrontaional when I am not intending to be that at all because I am very direct (as witnessed by my question here to you) and I level with people.

The only part that I may have interpreted as slightly forward on SM’s part was when she asked why Rosin did not ask Von Braun if he’d had contact with aliens.

I am NOT saying that Ms. MacLaine is being argumentative, or judgemental, or looking to lay blame. I am saying she comes loaded and locked and ready to get to the bottom of the situation at hand. Listen to her. She does not accept BS for any answer. She is not looking to find fault with someone. She's aiming to get to the truth. The distinction of what you are describing in yourself and what I am saying probably lies in intention.
I think some of these people think they are just coming on to chat, and are startled to realize that she is really putting them throught their paces.
As defined: Confrontation:
An act of confronting. The state of being confronted.
A meeting of persons face to face.
A bringing together of ideas, themes, etc., for comparison.

Hi HollywoodTess,

I was curious as to how you defined confrontational. Thank you for your explanation. It was very helpful.

What you call confrontational – I would call direct and leveling. I don’t notice that kind of communication style as being different because it’s what I do and so it’s what I expect.

I was wondering if you could help me understand some reactions I have experienced from others, especially online.

And you have, so thank you very much for your clarification.

Default A Direct Response to You, Freesia:

Freesia: Here's an example of something I just read that you wrote. You are being called out as negatively "confrontational" or maybe even just plain "insulting" or "argumentative" because of your type of comments, such as that follow.
Ms. MacLaine posted a question that was obviously engaging her, and she politely asked for our feedback. That's called human "Conversation."
Freesia, you posted the following "remark":
"This question is boring. Mine was more interesting. I think you posted this question because you don’t have an answer to mine or don’t understand it and you think your question is smart. Or it has something to do with Dick Clark . . ." Now, Freesia, that's just blatantly INSULTING and ARGUMENTATIVE. Period. Anyone could see that. My guess is that you deliberately dodged the crux of Ms. MacLaine's question just so you could lob an insult at her. It is your "judgement" that something is "boring." (unengaging, uninspired, of no value). But that does NOT in fact, make it so.
There is something on the "Basics of Polite Human Communication" that you are either clearly missing, or, you are deliberately attempting to cause insult and argument.

Here's the deal: Ms. MacLaine has stuck her neck out to create a communications platform for "The greater and highest good of all concerned." It is clear that her intention here is "good." She didn't have to do anything at all. But, Ms. MacLaine has created this for supportive opportunities to connect with each other. Something that is not particularly easy in this world for "spiritual communication." And, she has created this on her exceptional name and reputation of her acting, writing, and spiritual leadership. I honestly believe that everyone here "Gets That." Ms. MacLaine is due much more than just your respect. THAT is the way of our civilized society (what's left of it. Hence, this site.) And if you, Freesia, don't get that, then I don't know what can be done for you. Your comment, above, begs much more than the question, "Who are you to say such an insulting thing to such an Iconic Leader?" It begs the question, "What is wrong in your thinking to say such a thing to a good-intentioned Iconic Leader in the first place?" Really, if you don't "Get It," the Vibe and Intention of this place, then you should do youself a favor and just leave. Because you are going to constantly upset the Management here, and yourself as well. And in the end, it's their site. They can boot you off of here for good. Fall in line. It's what's called for.

Hi HollywoodTess,

Thank you for expressing your feelings about my “this is a boring question” comments.

I wish you had done so on the other thread. I could have told you I was joking.

What you said helps me understand why you thought I meant anything argumentative when I asked you about your definition of confrontational.

I’m sorry to say that your interpretation of what other’s meant is not correct. The reason I asked you is because you had the same ‘happy’ and ‘positive’ attitude when you used the word ‘confrontational’ as they did. I’ve since had a chance to check with a few of them and they confirmed that they did mean what you said.

I did not realize that until now. So again, thank you.

I hope that now you understand that my comment on the other thread was a joke, you will be able to let go of your negative opinion of me.

We may not have the same ideas of how people “should behave” but I think that is always the case in every community since everyone is different - and people still get along.

If you really find things I say disturbing, please feel free to put me on “ignore”. The last thing I would want is for anyone to be upset by something I say. It’s all just my opinion.

Have a nice day.
