Well, it looks like we can no longer access posts before 2010 – Drat !

So for the newbies, will give you a short background…

It seems whenever I travel (or Deb and I travel together) we encounter some type of magical phenomena.

For instance, when I went to meet Deb for the first time in 2002. I was living in Denver at the time, and she in Ojo Caliente NM. She invited me to spend the Thanksgiving Holiday. I made arrangements to leave on a certain date and planned the route I would take. It just so happens that the night before I left, Denver had one of the worst snowstorms I can ever remember. The night before, I contacted the weather travel place and the guy on the phone told me, “All roads to and from Denver are closed, but “miraculously” (his word not mine) Highway (I forget the #) is open, but don’t know for how long.” Well for a week I’ve been envisioning my drive there, so I decided to go anyway despite the warnings. Huge snow drifts and icy snowpacked streets covered Denver. When I got to the Highway (which was one lane in each direction), the lane heading into Denver and all along both sides of the road was covered in snow, drifts, and ice. The lane I was traveling was clear, slightly wet, and the sun shone on it all the way!!!

Another time, Deb and I traveled to Chicago for my nephew’s wedding and had made plans to visit a friend of ours in Penna. Again another severe snow storm from Chicago to the East coast. Dire warnings on the radio and TV to stay off all the roads and highways, they were treacherous and snow packed. Again, we decided to travel on. And again, we experienced nothing like the descriptions on the radio. The highway we traveled was just wet, didn’t encounter any snow or ice. However, when we exited in the town where our friend lived, we immediately ran smack dab into huge snow drifts, etc. !!

One last story … when Deb and I traveled to NM from Denver when we moved there. Again, the weather was increasingly getting worse. A few miles before the border, we saw this strange vertical streak of bright light in the sky. As the road curved we discovered to our delight, it was a Double Rainbow that stretched across the road we were on. We took that as a beautiful welcome sign to our new home state. When we crossed the border, due to the worsening weather, we stopped at a hotel to ride out the storm. The hotel was experiencing a total power outage, no pc’s, etc. However, when we got to our room, we flipped on the cable tv and it (and the lights in the room) were working just fine. They didn’t believe us when we told them at the front desk!

Ok, so now on to my latest trip to see Deb in Ft Worth. I decided to leave at 4 in the morning, so as not to arrive during rush hour. The first part of my route was to go through the mountain town of Cloudcroft. This is similar to driving in the mountains in Denver, except these roads are not as well marked and there are no lights. It was so eerie, you know like the hushed quiet of driving in newly fallen snow? As I got up higher into the mountain, all of a sudden I encountered a thick fog that surrounded everything. The magic of it though was that about 30 or more feet in front of my car, the fog would suddenly part to each side (like the scene of Moses and the parting of the Sea), almost as if there was someone blowing a hole right through the middle of the fog enabling me to see the road!!! I was not only so thankful, I was in awe. This happened over and over again until I was completely out of the fogged in area.

Just had to share this with you all. Again, its like being in a parallel dimension or something like our other trips. Love it.

What a wonderful story Peg! That is so amazing to me, some people are just gifted with these actions and it is so inspirational to me. I am so glad you are having a great trip and so glad that Sean is doing well and in the new rehab hospital it sounds really nice and the people sound very attentive to him with good vibes. You take care and please keep the stories coming.

thanks monti. Glad you enjoyed it. It never ceases to amaze me when I experience things like this. Sometime, I question my sanity! hah But it does happen and when it does, you can't help but give serious thought to parallel lives, other slices of the dimension, creating one's reality and law of attraction, etc.

I had a wonderful trip with Deb and Sean. He looks so much better than when I last saw in the trauma ICU back in August ! And Deb is more relaxed now which is good.

So glad your visit was good, I know you and Deb had a ball. I have a friend like that we have known each other since 3rd grade. We were separated when I moved in the 8th grade.We would visit still on holidays and summers. She lives in Texas now and we still talk all the time. Even when time went by and we were busy in our lives raising families and didn't talk, when we did it was like it was yesterday. I think you and Deb are like that. I am doing better now, the police and the military have both reopened the case. I am just working on forgivness, I still want justice but this angry hatred was killing me. My daughter doesn't understand how I can try and forgive but she isn't fighting me on it. I really am just trying to understand what lesson I am learning from this all. I know that during the most horrible times is the best time to grow and learn spiritually, so I am trying. I am thinking of making a trip to the Omega Institute in upstate New York later this yr if I can swing it. They have such wonderful classes there. Are you and Deb planning on trying to move closer together or waiting to see how Sean does. I know it must be hard to make plans now. That young man just amazes me to be in such good spirits after all he has been through, it really is almost like a miracle isn't it. Well it is late and I need to try and sleep I quess. I hope everything good continues for all of you. I keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Yes, one can say they are truly blessed when, with the 6 billion people in this world, we find a friend who seems we have known forever. Who says you can't find a needle in a haystack? LOL Makes for a truly cherished connection in our lives, huh?

Am happy you are doing better, monti, and that the case has been re-opened. What happened is something you will never forget, nor should you. And I applaud you in striving to forgive. Forgive FOR YOURSELF, monti, it is so important, because truly, as you say, if you don't, holding onto all that anger and hatred will surely kill you. Forgiving does not mean you condone what happened, it just means you are allowing yourself to move forward with peace in your heart. And eventually you will discover what it is you are learning.

I think your idea of the Omega Institute is good one. Follow your intuition, for its not just a random thought. That may be your Higher Self communicating.

As for moving to TX, after this trip, I can see myself living there. The atmosphere is much more conducive to what I am used to....from the shops and restaurants, to the all the greenery of trees, lawns, flowers, etc. I have about a year and half before my lease is up, so until then, as always, I take it one day at a time.

You will be happy to know, Peg. that you can still indeed go all the way back to the beginning of each forum. Follow these directions to the tee.

• Click on "Encounterboard" up in the right hand corner

• Then click on the forum of your choice (not the post link, but the forum box itself)

• Then scroll up to the top (to the darker blue border) and you'll see "Thread Starter". Click on that.

• Scroll down to the bottom and make sure it says "From the Beginning"

• Scroll back up. Everything is in alphabetical order by poster.

• Use the numbers at the bottom or the top to get to the alphabet that you want.
  
  

• And then the poster you want. You'll find everything they've ever posted there, all clustered together.

It takes a little navigating at first but once you get to the alphabet you want; it's all there right from the beginning. Brit worked alot of hours on that part... when they first changed servers and the look of the sight...

Hey thanks Chi. Am gonna copy this for reference. I know in the past when I did a search for my stuff, all of it came up from 2002. Today, when I did that, all I got was 2010 and forward.

This will definitely come in handy.

Some of the forums were started later. For example,
the Spirituality Forum goes all the way back to 2000, but
the Creativity Corner Forum wasn't started until 2002.
As a result, some of my poetry from the earlier years
is also in "Spirituality". Maybe yours too.
