Hello
This week's IE guest is Howard Martin who will be joining me in a discussion about the Global Coherence Initiative (GCI). The Global Coherence Initiative, a science-based, co-creative project to unite people in heart-focused care and intention, to facilitate the shift in global consciousness from instability and discord to balance, cooperation and enduring peace. Additionally GCI is doing ground-breaking research on the interactions between the earth’s energetic fields, people and mass human emotion. This uplifting organization incorporates an understanding of the heart’s role in accessing a new intelligence. GCI participants learn about breakthrough research on coherence, energetic intention, and techniques to improve your well-being and how to increase your ability to affect global change. You can learn more about Howard and the CGI here: http://www.shirleymaclaine.com/ieradio/about/next Please tune on Sunday April 15 at 6 PM Pacific, 7 PM Mountain, 8 PM Central, 9 PM Eastern. I'm sure it will be an interesting discussion!

Well I guess on the spiritual path one is supposed to be immune to both praise and blame. For myself, I am about as thin-skinned as they come. I usually end up exploding after I have been insulted. Then I have to go through the difficult process of trying to resolve a conflict and trying to forgive myself.
There is a sufi story about a master who lives in a mansion. One person coming to study spirituality can't believe that a true master would live in opulence. The moral of the story is that the master is free of attachment. The spiritual path is full of paradoxes. |

Sometimes great beauty flows
from between the crevices of the words. Sometimes, it seems the true meaning of anything lies behind it and between it. Not write on it. Soft Grin... Love, Chi "the universe is subtle and informs all..." ~ Chuangtse ~

Sometimes this earthwalk is joyous...other times perplexing and seemingly very unfair. As Shirley wisely told us at the end of the show tonight see how you "can find ease in your heart"...
I like the image of flowing with the river despite the occasional rocks and sticks that pop up along the way. Appreciating your honestly Beana...who among us has not felt that way? Always in gratitude to you dear Chi for your shared heartfelt wisdom. Hope you are feeling better. Peace and love to you dear ones, Wolfdog Last edited by Wolfdog : 04-15-2012 at 07:40 PM. I don't know about you, but I had trouble following what this guy was talking about. Having checked out both his websites, I'm still not sure.
For all of us who have been digging into "this stuff" for 40 or 50 years or more, and who remember when we all walked around with copies of Shakti Gawain's "Creative Visualization" and Louise Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life et. al.," I didn't hear anything new in his interview. I'm not even sure what his points were. It sounded like garden variety meditation. When I went to his corporate web site, Heart Math or Math Heart (somesuchthing), I can't figure out if what they are selling is a medical product or program, or a health insurance product or program. It was not apparent at first sight. Loving and respecting "your heart" is not a new concept. I also don't like this idea of having to sign up and join something to do "it." What??? I don't want to have to "sign up" before I am told. If anyone cares to clarify, please do. I would apprecate that. That the guy is an open-minded thinker on his own spiritual path was apparent. That is not in question. What's he talking about? That's the question. |

Hello,
Howard Martin and HeartMath theories are interesting, specifically appreciating Shirley’s question about the ability of a heart transplant to cause a change in personality within the realm of Howard’s theorems, such as Dick Cheney’s recent surgery, for example. That question really made me think about the prospects of such a concept; Cheney’s heart may change his nature and he will have no desire to ‘corner tiny birds into fenced-in fields to hunt them for sport’ (Called a “canned-hunt”where he shot a guy in the face while hunting quail, a bird that weighs about six-ounces.) What a great side effect for a heart transplant, the individual’s personality becomes a bit mellower and gentler, to enable a person, such as Cheney, to participate in an initiative for global peace that is not based on violence. It sounds to me like advancement towards what will someday become the beginning of our achievement towards telepathy. Love, Di |

What about the more than 4,500 US service men and women he has had Killed in the Prime Of Their Lives in an illegal war in Iraq. What about the more than 32,000 young US service men and women who have returned from this Illegal War horribly maimed; coming home in pieces.
A war that even my own Republican congressman (Shays) ADMITTED in a public talk was "For Oil." "Of course we invaded Iraq for the oil," Shays said. Major suck-up to Cheney and The Bushes. IT WAS ALL EVIL. Maybe, Dick will finally admit that it was an illegal war that he ginned up for the purposes of making tons of money for himself and his cronies. Maybe, even Dick will have his "Robert McNamara moment" as and old BALL-LESS, USELESS EXCUSE OF A MAN, and admit that he sent thousands of young men and women to their deaths for his own egomaniacle reasons. Maybe God has saved the best for Dick, in letting him live long enough to get the heart of a conscientious decent non-criminal person, so that Dick will end his life stewing in the Consciousness of Remorse that he has caused for tens of thousands of mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, and children---whose lives are painfully changed for the loss of their beloved in this illegal war in Iraq. "Revenge is a dish best served cold." |

Nice interview Shirley!Love your genuine laughter too! It's always good to be reminded how to get back to that quiet still place and know, that in doing so,it benefits all! I enjoy hearing techniques presented by different folks. From the Shakti Gawains and Shirley MacLaines to Buddha,Jesus,Gandhi, and the people of the Plains! There are many paths to the same One. I taught several different methods for years hoping that I could offer some little jewel that would be just right for that individual.Hasn't failed yet and boy do you ever notice when you are in a period of 'non-doing'! Your body mind and spirit are so discombobulated it hurts!Let us hope that the likes of Howard Martin , Shirley MacLaine and so manymillions of' re-awakened' others continue to patiently spread the word in hopes of waking us all up collectively speaking!I wish Howard Martin continued success in his website and online classes..you too dear Shirley .namaste all.
