I have the most amazing series of Miracles to share.
First the only cancer left in my husband's body is a spot on his pelvis. Since he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer 3 1/2 years ago, that's the cleanest he's been.
My insurance has been a moot point since the drug study opted to pick up the cost of PET & CT scans, the hospital put us up in a hotel over the weekend while we sorted things out and financial aid says since medicare will cover 80% they see no issues about picking up the balance and I should have written confirmation in a few days. At every turn I was met with kindness and offers of help. I've been in constant motion for a week, and I'm really tired, but it's worth it.
Now, even more amazing, thanks to the study drug, my husband's immune system recognizes cancer and apparently will continue to search and destroy whether he has any further treatments or not.
But they don't think it will work on his pelvis because they haven't had success with bone so far.
On to our next miracle.
Your prayers are tangible things and very much appreciated. I thank all of you for your generosity of spirit. I think of the encounter board as Shirley's Miracle Team. This is an powerful and amazing place. We have so much potential for great things here.

Hi, ilex, for whatever reason I just now caught up with this thread - and my heart was in my throat as I read all the posts, and am soooo thankful that all this insurance mess PLUS your husband's health is stabilizing! Wow, you said you're tired -- I totally understand how mentally, emotionally, physically exhausting this stuff is. Thank God you have a strong spirit and seriously believe in miracles ~~ and you're right: Shirley's Miracle Team ain't nothin' to fool with, is it?! This is indeed a powerful and amazing place.
