Good to see you on the boards!

Will try the orange cake this weekend with a couple changes:
hemp flour (gluten free) instead of whole wheat and stevia instead of agave because agave still raises glucose levels. Will let you know how It turns out!

Brit: I saw you note about agave raising blood sugar levels and I wanted to know how you feel about brown rice syrup. My macrobiotic cooking teacher says to only use brown rice syrup becase it does not raise glucose levels as much. She says that chemically all sugars increase glucose levels to some degree--even right from the friut & vegetable. She (Christinal Pirello) has been specializing in macrobiotic food and cooking for nearly 30 years now, when she turned to it as a last hope to cure her own cancer. Which she did.
I'm always looking to cross-reference experts' opinions on these subjects.

[I've fallen so far off the wagon with my food & diet. Sugar addiction is my great burden right now. I hope I can reinspire myself to get it back together, but I seem to have lost all my motivation.]
