Each month has a full moon and they all have a name assigned to them. November is called the Full Beaver Moon because beaver traps are set at this time of year so that beaver furs can be used throughout the winter months. Also, this is the smallest full moon of the year. I thought this was interesting. Hope you do too.

I wasn't aware of any of this until I read your post ~ thanks, Joanne!
The Full Beaver Moon was glorious! Against the backdrop of the star-lit canvas ... gazing at it was, for me, one of those drop to your knees "Oh my God, how infinite are your wonders" moments for me. It's cold now here in New Jersey, and I can see my breath when I walk at night. Breathing in, I remember that I am a child of God; I am made from stars. Breathing out, I know that I am a child of the universe and to stardust I will return. Love, Lura ![]() |

Thanks Joanne for that! Fun facts!
I thought this full moon was beautiful also. Here it has been cloudy at night so the moon has been shining brightly though the clouds giving an eery appearance. |

Shelley, don't you think the full moon is more beautiful sometimes when it is partially obscured by clouds?
Lura, loved what you wrote about walking at night. It always seems so quiet and peaceful. Even when it's cold! Love, Joanne |
