Hi there everyone:

First: I finally moved this past May. I am living in Flushing instead of Jamaica. The apartment is a lot smaller, and I still haven't been able to get organized but that is happening a bit at a time.

I will finally be returning to school this coming May (2012), and I am going to be continuing my major as social work. My short term goal is to earn a BSW and when that is worked to completion I am going to go to earn my MSW and then of course the certification. The end goal is to work with teenagers 13-19 who have been abused emotionally, physically and sexually at a Drop In Center for this population that I will try to initiate into development through foundation grants and whatever else I can find a way to do so.
It is going to be non-clinical. It is not going to be an easy task as I will need to operate it with state funding as well as private donations. I want these children to feel safe and am planning to work it so their predators (whether biological parents/guardians whathaveyou) will not have access to them. The plan is to have them home schooled and to possibly have room to house 40 but I don't want to keep children out who need help so there will be emergency cots etc if someone drops in who is in bad need of help and protection. It will be open on a 24-7 basis. I will have help with this to have it opened, but that is yet to be seen on how to do this.

No relationship is on the horizon and I am very lonely for male companionship but thems the breaks I guess.
