Welcome

Hello
I just wanted to say hello to all of the new members of our community and let them know that if they have any questions they can reach out...
One or more of us will be there to try to help!

Thank you for the welcome

I feel like asking so many questions. I enjoy a vegan, wheat-free diet. I look for vegan recipes wherever I can. Please feel free to send me personal messages with your ideas for dishes. I study everything that I can. I experience everything that I can. I have settled into a rhythm of domestic travel for business. I love taking road trips rather than flying. In March I drove to Tacoma, Washington from Atlanta for a job that will last into August. If there is anybody out this way that would like to get together to explore the surroundings, then let me know. Feel free to send me personal messages with ideas of places to visit. I am taking piano lessons and working on my masters degree. My challenge now is learning how to communicate with people. My son is in the army in Germany and has aspirations to become a politician/activist....I enjoyed seeing him in protests. I hold those photos close to my heart. I look forward to meeting all of you and chatting a bit.

Welcome, jmills! I have been a vegetarian for almost 11 years and often cook vegan/gluten free as well. If you do not have a copy of Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz, you should purchase one just as soon as humanly possible. As my dear friend told me, "It will change your life." Everything I've ever made from it--which is darn near every single recipe--has truly been spot on delicious. If you have any tips/recipes/etc. about vegan cooking, let us know on the Cooking in the Lite thread!

Welcome, again, to this amazing community of Friends.

Thank you for the welcome

Thank you for the information. I will get that book right away. I look forward to seeing future posts from you. I had two failed saffron rice recipes this weekend. I expect a big culinary win tonight though.

You are in for a treat with Veganomicon! Also check out her website called Post Punk Kitchen: http://www.theppk.com .

Let us know about your culinary adventures! You should check out the Cooking in the Lite links here. Brit is quite the culinary goddess.

Techno Talent

Hi all

Note with interest the begining of this months ShirleyGram... If everything is now technically altered how long will ot be before the industry realises that the performer is no longer needed and they can create a performance entirely digitally.

Luckily for me I saw 3 lads from Bradford last night at an open mike night -playing instruments, singing live, performing original material, and getting signed by the mamger for a professional booking :-) There is still a place for practice, talent, and craft.

Love, Light and Blessing to all

~David
