IE Aug 4 Dignity for All

Hi everyone
I'm sitting in for Shirley this Sunday as she will be on a plane headed home. She hoped to be back in time to host this program, but things didn't quite work out as planned.

This is going to be a diverse program. My guest, Donna Corso, has written a wonderful book called: "When the Wind Chimes Chime, Ending the greatest fear of all". It is the true story of a child's transition, his choices and lack of choices in Western medicine that brings greater awareness to a subject rarely discussed. I realize this is a topic that is generally taboo but it is one that Shirley and I feel we can all benefit from by engaging in honest open discussion.

Donna is also an environmental advocate so we will also explore that with her and how life, our health and our environment are intricately connected.

I hope you will join us for a heartfelt discussion.

Reminds me of a poem i wrote some years back.

The wind honors the chime;
the chime loves the wind.
Love and honor are very delicate things;
creates a tingle.

The Roshi at Upaya Zen Center (in Santa Fe) focuses much of her work, research, and life on death and dying (not unusual for a Buddhist):

I encourage you all to explore the Upaya website, and if you are in or near the Santa Fe area, go there sometime. My teacher Tias Little (http://www.prajnayoga.net) often teaches there as well . . .
