Forgiveness 101: A reminder for us all, especially Israel and Palestine.
Inspired Quote of the Day™
Healing follows forgiveness and is the best gift you can give yourself. ~ Pat Bluth

It ought to be easy to forgive. However, forgiveness is hard and difficult.
Forgiveness is a choice. Forgiveness is there for you at any moment. You may really want to forgive someone or yourself, but how does a person begin to forgive? First think about what forgiveness means and what it does not mean.
People have a lot of misgivings about forgiveness. Some think they can't forgive because it's "too difficult". The hurt may be too deep and the offense may seem unforgiveable. The offender may not deserve forgiveness.
Some find forgiving impossible to do. The anger can be so deep that there is no way to find peace. They may think forgiving will be excusing his or her wrongful actions. Forgiving can be the key to finding peace. Healing the hurts you didn't deserve can be difficult and may seem to be impossible. But healing is possible through forgiveness.
Forgiving the person that hurt you deeply is the only way to heal the pain. The pain will not be able to heal itself. Forgiveness is necessary to healing and finding peace. The bitterness you hold on to is not hurting the person who offended you; it is only eating away at your heart and peace of mind. Until you forgive, you hold on to bitterness, hatred and anger and you can't move forward.
Forgiveness is a beginning for creating your peace of mind. Forgiveness creates an opening for you to heal and allow yourself to be open to love and trust again.
Forgiveness does not mean to forget. It does not also mean that you condone what has happened to you. Forgiveness does not mean you have to reconcile with the offender or be friends with them.
Forgiveness means letting go of the negative feelings and thoughts that prevent you from healing and finding peace. By letting go of the anger and negative feelings it allows room in your heart for compassion, kindness and peace.
Try thinking about forgiveness and how it can change your life. Recognize the value of forgiveness and its importance to you.
To forgive is not a simple process but is worth the pain of going through. Forgiveness is possible in situations that seem impossible. Forgiveness will free you of your pain and past hurts.
Forgiveness is for you and has nothing to do with the other person. The act of forgiveness is truly a gift to yourself. By forgiving you take back control of your emotions. It is the key to being healed and finding peace. The three words, "I forgive you" can change your life for the better. Those three words can set you free.
Imagine if the Israelis and Palestinians were to forgive themselves and each other. Imagine how this would manifest the healing of these two nations, and begin the long overdue process of PEACE.
I believe this is the time for Israel and Palestine to come together as one, so that there shall be no more bloodshed, pain and suffering. I also believe this can be a turning point in evolution where these two nations can be a role model for other nations who are at war with themselves and each other.
Forgiveness in our mind, body and soul.
I really like what this has to say about Forgiveness.
Inspired Quote of the Day™
Forgiveness is not about condoning the hurtful behavior of another, it is about loving yourself enough to move on -- and it starts with you. ~ Gina Sendef
Gina is an angel intuitive, a Reiki Healer, and the author of Truth Works: Divine Life Lessons for Kids of All Ages.
We are beings of energy and light. The energy within each one of us carries a vibration that can be felt and/or sensed, with a polarity of low and high. The higher end is where we connect with spirit and our higher self along with other high vibrating energy like love, joy and abundance. The lower end is where negativity resides with anger, fear, sadness, illness and suffering. If your life does not match what you desire, raising your vibration can change it; forgiveness is the way.
Life is too precious to squander our time living unhappy, angry, sad or just plain stressed out. The energy of those low vibrating emotions will only serve to attract negativity into your life; like energy attracts like energy. To raise your vibration, and begin to have the life you want and deserve, you must change that vibration by letting go of what no longer serves you. That is done through the act of forgiving.
Forgiveness is not about condoning the hurtful behavior of another, it is about loving yourself enough to move on -- and it starts with you. The most effective way to begin the journey out of darkness is to forgive yourself first. Guilt and regret will only hold you down, set yourself free and lovingly accept your past; with gratitude for what you learned from each experience.
We are far too hard on ourselves and we pass judgment on our own actions more harshly than we would anyone else. The negative things we say about ourselves and our lives only lower our vibration even more. Any change we desire must start within, because when we reconcile our own feelings about ourselves first, doing so with others is so much easier.
Once you have accepted your past actions and decisions, you can move to other situations and people, letting go of each one to make room for something more positive. Meditation is an excellent way to tap into what needs to be released and forgiven. Allow spirit to guide you and follow it with an open heart and mind. The relief you feel will start to yield results in your physical life and you will experience a profound change in your perspective.
When we raise our vibration with forgiveness, we align more and more with the energy of unconditional love. A side effect of forgiveness and unconditional love is compassion. You will no longer feel pulled to judge yourself or others, because you truly begin to understand there is a reason for everything and that you must respect the path of another, even when it is not one you would choose for yourself.
The less we judge, the less those negative feelings will drag our energy downward. A practice of consistent forgiveness will keep your vibration high and your life in balance. Love yourself enough to focus your time and attention on the positive and let go of anything negative: FORGIVE.
That was certainly named correctly...
