Fasting for a friend--do I tell her?
I have a friend who needs emotional healing and she has dedicated herself to a period of fasting and prayer. I have decided to join her in fasting with the purpose of my fast being healing for her. I believe that prayer and fasting are more powerful in groups, but I also want to show her that I support her.
The reason I want to show my support by fasting is because I have no words or wisdom or comfort for her. I just don't know what to say. She has shared so much wisdom and comfort with me, I just want to give back. I really don't know how else to help her but by fasting. But, I don't know whether to tell her I am fasting with her or not. I want to because I want her to KNOW that I support her, but I don't know if telling her is the right thing to do. I am afraid that telling her would sort of be imposing on her fast. What do you think? |
Hello
You are joining not imposing. Tell her! |
Thank you so much and Happy Thanksgiving!

Just found this post....
It feels to me that it would be wise to tell her as well, if you haven't already done so. And, I agree with Shirley that you are joining in her experience. Stay well.... Sending you Love and Light, Wolfdog |
Thank you all! I told her and it was the right decision. Love to you all.
