A Long Cry From Autumn
 

In the wee hours of morning, just before dawn -
i heard the long cry of Autumn's beautiful song.
She was swirling and whirling
on a crisp cool breeze
and she was singing of the dawning
of a brand new dream.
And tho her song was but a whisper,
i heard it so clear -
as if from some far away distance;
she was drawing near.
Her song remained with me the whole day and night too.
"i'm coming back", she said; "i promise you".
"i'm coming back", she said; "i'm coming back real soon".

it's been lovely here in Chitown; in the mid 70's

like an old lover drawing near.
I became inspired.

It's right around the corner! I love it, too!

Fall...
 

Fall is my favorite time of the year. Cool crisp air, leaves of all colors, football on Friday nights, college football on Saturdays, kids back in school. Then there is Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then the Holiday season begins.... This year is very special for me. My oldest son and his wife are having their first baby, a son Donovan and my youngest Ashley and her family are moving into their new home they just built. So lets all have some apple cider and sit outside and enjoy this wonderful Autumn!

I have to admit Autumn is truly my favorite time of the year. The trees are so colorful, the temperatures are so perfect at times. I love going to the park and walking the trails during the fall. Seeing the leaves change colors and the breeze you feel when you are walking. I sometimes drive to the Smoky Mountains just to see Nature in all it splendor. :)
