Update

Update...

Sean's bone surgeon (Dr Nana) was there today. Had a 2nd bone scan done today. It is showing like an empty pocket all around the ankle and heal area which I think is where the infection is (and seems to be spreading up his leg). The Dr has never seen anything like this and doesn't know what it is ! I will bet he is probably going to be doing some research and consulting (?). He believes that the foot never healed completely from the surgery, which may have been aggravated by physical therapy starting too soon.

Deb is spending the night there again tonight. She and Sean are watching movies and once in a while get on the laptop.

So, that's the latest ... keep those prayers and energies coming ... they and you all are so appreciated... Thank You !

Love...Peg

Update...

Hello my dear friends...
We got an update on the bone scan today. I appears that there is no "bone infection". Great news. However, the bone has not fully healed from the last surgery and has not adhered to the hardware thus causing the gap or pocket. So, after they find what is causing the swelling, Dr. Nana will have to perform another surgery on his right foot and ankle to scrape the bone and set it to adhere to the hardware.

Now to find the cause of the massive swelling of his foot, leg and groin area. They are thinking it is coming from the urinary track area and are bringing on the Infectious Doctor to help find the cause. They changed his cathetar which I learned today had not been changed since we have been at the new facility. They are taking an uncontaminated urine sample to do a culture on it to see what it shows.

In the meanwhile, Sean is on antibiotics and pain meds. He is napping now. I actually took a nap during the day - something unknown to me. I just couldn't go any further. Was short and sweet but helped a bit. Don't get much sleep in a hospital at night. But I choose to be here. Sean needs that right now and so do I.

Thank you all so very much for continuing to walk with us through this journey. We appreciate your prayers, your loving intentions and your energy work.

Love,
Deb

Today...

Latest diagnosis is "Cellulitis". As I recall, Sean had this on his left leg as well. Anyway, they are treating him for "Cellulitis" which boils down to more of the same of what they have been doing. Except now they are wrapping his leg and foot with an ACE bandage. He may get to go back to the facility tomorrow where they will continue the anti-biotics. Geez, he has taken so many anti-biotics, it is a wonder he hasn't built up an immunity to all of them. But hopefully, this will nip this infection in the bud. Then, we go back to Dr. Nana to set up appt for further surgery on his left foot and ankle.

I'm hoping one more night in the hospital and then a three day weekend to recoup. Looking forward to being "Home" again.

Thanking you all for your continued prayers and assistance.

Love you all,
Deb

I've been following all that you have written, Deb. Hope all goes well!!! Get some (well deserved) rest!!

Cher O 05-23-2013 05:44 PM

Hi, Deb, Sean and Peg.

I know how much you are looking forward to your three-day weekend, Deb. You must be exhausted. When Gerry was in the hospital, they woke him at all hours of the night for blood tests and temperature and blood pressure.... The hospital is not the place to get any rest. Sean will be better off at his residence too. You can both recoup.

I am sending you both loving healing energy. Peg too. You all three need to stay on top of your game. Sending energy to Carroll too while I'm at it. Hope she is doing well.

Just know that loving energy is headed your way from the Pacific Northwest. I know you are surrounded by energy coming in from all over the world....

Praying for your highest good. Love, C.

OneLight 05-23-2013 08:26 PM

Hangin in there with you, my friend.
As you always say, one day at a time.
Sounds like the med staff is keeping on top of this.

Continuing to join all here sending energies for the highest good.

Yes, get some rest and enjoy your 3 day weekend.

Love you...Peg

Update...

Sean's Infectious Disease Doctor came by last night and told us that she wanted to do another sonogram on Sean from foot to belly to rule out blood clots. She is also monitoring blood work night and day so we won't be leaving the hospital until maybe Tuesday. I would much rather have him in the hospital under their watchful care. So, we will be spending Memorial Day Weekend in the hospital "making more memories".

I get up in bed with Sean and we watch the stand up comedians on the Laptop and just laugh and laugh. Also, we have watched the Batman Trilogy of the Dark Knight which has been really good. We laugh a lot and that, to the both of us, is the most healing thing.

We are holding you all in our hearts, knowing that you are all doing the same for us.

Love,
Deb

debabbott 05-24-2013 07:16 AM

Oh yeah, I told Sean I am bringing him Joe's New York Pizza for lunch and his eyes lit up like a little boys at a chocolate factory!!!!

Such simple little things mean so much.

Love you all,
Deb

debabbott 05-24-2013 07:54 AM

One more thing. I walked into Sean's hospital room yesterday after going to work for several hours and Sean said look around. I looked around and stopped at the Nurse's board where they state their goals for Sean. The first line said, "Pain Management". The second line said, "Being my highest self!" with a smiley face after it. I turned to look at Sean and he said, "I asked my nurse to write that up there for me - to remind me to find my highest self in every moment." We just smiled at each other.

Last night after lights out, Sean was making all this noise and I said, "Shut the @#%# up!" This morning I apologized for not being my highest self last night. Sean said, "Oh? You were just being your "Medium" Self?" We just laughed.

Got to have that laughter. Hope you all make laughter in your life today!

Laughter and Love,
Deb

Update...

Sean is out of the hospital and back at the facility. Swelling is going down.
Still on antibiotics. Keeping his leg and foot wrapped with compression
wrap. Doctor said it would take some time for the "Cellulitis" to heal.

Hoping he will get to feeling better so he can have a home visit one day soon. We are planning on his coming home for a Saturday so we can eat and watch movies together at home. I now have a portable wheelchair ramp for him. This is our next desire.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and loving intentions. We are forever grateful for your assistance.

Love you all,
Deb

I am so glad Sean is doing better, that cellulitis is nothing to mess around with. My husband had that on his arm where the IV was there way to long, but once it starts to heal it comes right along. I know you all feel like what next! I am sending you some good thoughts and prayers to help you all get through this part too. I know you are hanging in there, but I also know how hard it can get. Know that we all here a thinking of you all and pray for the best for you.

debabbott 06-01-2013 06:15 PM

Sean was a 100 times better today!!! Oh yeah! Made my heart happy!!!!
I got us this wonderful Mexican Dinner from our fav restuarant along with some new summer digs of shorts and t-shirts. Sean was just glowing. It looks like he finally made the crest and is on the way to recovery from this "Cellulitis". Whew....

Interesting that we are honing our telepathic communications and it is amazing. He is sending me mental images and I am so picking up on them everyday. We have proven this over and over again. Today was the best when I took in a white T-shirt and Blue Shorts and Sean said that everything that he has been imagining is coming true. As well, he sent me a message to contact a friend of his. I got that this morning but waited until I confirmed it with him when I went to see him. He said, "Mom, this is amazing, everything that I am projecting in thought, you are getting."

BTW, Sean's cell phone died (we have another coming in the mail) and he does not have internet access where he is right now (coming soon). So, we have been relying on telepathic communication and have found it to be very successful. Truly amazing....

Anyway, he is feeling so much better and we had a wonderful day today and planning on another wonderful day tomorrow. We are planning on his having a home trip next Saturday. We are going to cook, eat and watch movies all day. That will be great!!!

As always, thank you all for your wonderful prayers and loving intentions to assist us in this journey of "healing".

Love you all,
Deb

debabbott 06-13-2013 04:46 PM

Hello all my wonderful friends! Sean came home last weekend for an overnight visit and we had such a wonderful time together. We cooked out steaks and shrimp. Sean directed me in building the fire, when to put the steaks on, when to turn and when to remove. Same with the shrimp and I have to say, we make a very good team, everything was perfect.

It was so good to have him home and so very natural for us to be together in our home. Our friend John John came over for a couple of hours and we all had a great visit.

Now, Sean will be able to come home on a regular basis every 2 to 3 weeks and the facility will provide the transportation so that will be even more convenient.

We are so very grateful! We have come so far! Thanking you as always for your continued prayers and loving intentions.

Love,
Deb

My very best friend in the whole world arrived here today with all of her belongings! Yes, she is moving into an enchanted little cottage just some two blocks away from me and Sean. And I am thinking, my circle is complete....

My heart is so filled with gratitude. We are going to be making so many more memories!!! Onelight, Peg, Sweetpea is here. We are finally all home

ever in hog heaven!!! ahahahahha!!! We are all celebrating!!!

We are going to be having so much fun decorating her new home!!!

All is well, we are loved,

Embracing your vibrations!

Hello to all my wonderful friends here on sm.com. Again, I am requesting your attention in Sean's regard. Yesterday, he had a freak accident in his wheelchair that resulted in the breaking of his leg - the femur right above his knee. His therapist came to get him to take him to physical therapy. She asked if he wanted the leg extension on his wheelchair, he declined. He had his heavy boot cast on his right leg and she was pushing him rapidly down the hall, they were talking when Sean let his leg drop and the boot caught on the floor and instantly pulled his leg back under the wheelchair and pop, pop, pop!!!! He screamed in agony!!! Yes, broke his femur right above the knee!!!

He is in the hospital and they did a cat skan today. Dr Nana will determine the next step from the results, where that be surgery or setting it.

Anyway, Sean and I discussed looking for the "Silver Lining" in this experience. We thought that if Dr Nana does surgery, maybe he could make adjustments on the knee so that Sean could have more range in motion.

We had a wonderful discussion today about how much easier it is on me when Sean has a positive attitude. He said he tried to imagine what it would be like for me if he had a bad attitude. We discussed how "We Are Loved" and that "All is Well". We agreed that after going through all that we have, that there is nothing that we cannot overcome. We agreed that we are in this life to learn and grow in our knowing that there is nothing that we cannot overcome.

What a beautiful experience we are having together. My son has taught me so very much about overcoming pain. I told him today how very proud I am of him for his courage and his strength, but mostly for his positive attitude. He thanked me for my positve attitude. He said that he had tried to imagine me dealing with him if he had a bad attitude. I told him that I couldn't handle it, I probably wouldn't be around very much or for very long.

I am so very proud of my son for being the best that he can be in this moment. I read him some of the book today that Kata sent to him, "The Fifth Agreement". It helped him to close his eyes and rest. Then he said, "That is really good." We would recommend it to anyone.

Anyway, my lovely beings, thank you for continuing to hold us in your favor and lend us your loving energies. We so most appreciate it. We will be just fine because of that.

Love you all,
Deb

Hello Deb,

What can I say, thank you for having the courage, stamina and perception of a Saint, you are inspiring. Energies and light for you and Sean to continue your enlightening journey through the health care system, and thank you for keeping the faith in SM.com, et al. Every Blessing, the light will come.

Love,
Di

debabbott 06-27-2013 05:31 PM

Thank You All!

Again, thank you all for your participation in our healing journey. Sean does not have to have surgery at this time on the broken femur. It is aligned correctly for healing, so they will take x-rays weekly and send to Dr. Nana to make sure there is no "shifting". If there is shifting, he will do surgery to realign. When this heals, then Dr. Nana is going to do a knee replacement which should enable Sean to have more mobility in his knee which will assist in his walking. So, this is what we are looking at as the "Silver Lining". Dr. Nana was able to see that Sean has developed arthritis in that knee making it impossible for him to bend the knee enough to walk on it.

Anyway, Sean is now back at the facility with a long brace cast on his leg and he does have to use the leg extension on his wheelchair. His spirits are up and he is doing well.

Again, thank you all so very much for your continued support.

Love you all,
Deb

Deb, I agree with Di,

and you should be nominated for sainthood! When you told me of Sean's accident, I was so sorry for you both.... It has so been one thing after another. But thru each thing you look for the best, as if each incident were a blessing in disguise. Your positive attitude, your optimistic outlook, are lessons for the rest of us. I, for one, really appreciate my life, thanks in large part to how you help me see it, the beauty of it, the value. We don't have to let even big problems knock us off our feet, but if they do, just get back up again. Examine what you learned from that and go on. Thank you, my friend, for being the ever-shining example of how to live happily. I treasure every moment I have known you. Love, C.

I so totally agree with what you have said here. We are here to learn and grow. How else could we do that unless there were obstacles along our way to overcome? And here we are, overcoming all of them with the grace and love in union. That is what this life experience is all about. We are not here on a 'Free Ride". We chose to have this experience. Well, at least that is my perception. All will have their own perceptions and all will be complete within themselves for that time. For me, I know I am here to experience all things so as to develop my best self response to all things. I am aware of that, therefore, I am proceeding along those lines.

In honor of all who wish to "know" themselves.

Love, Deb

Update with Sean T.

Sean is laughing and joking and having a good 'ole time in his situation. He is making the best in his circumstance. And I am so very proud of him. He is sending loving healing energy to his uncle instead of worrying about him. It is amazing the difference when we "choose" to be in a positive mode and how that effects, not only ourselves, but those that we are sending energy to. I so realized that I can't send positive loving healing energies to someone if I am "worried" about them. So, I have to choose if I want to be of benefit to another or a detrement. If I worry about someone, I am sending them negative energy and they are picking that up.

We are all vibrational energy beings and thoughts are energy. I have "so" learned this. I so "know" this now.

So, I am ever conscious of what "thoughts" I am sending to others.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and loving intentions.

Love,
Deb

Update on Sean...

Sean continues to find the good in everyday. When the questions come, the doubts, the wonders, we get through them together. For we all need to express, share and work our way through the muck and mire. And then, we pop through for another breath of fresh air!!!! We find something more to be grateful for and go on from there. That is what gets us through the trying times. Together we lift each other up!!! that is what it is all about - helping each other....

Laughter is such a good healer. The more laughter, the better off we all are. It is good to find the fun in everything. It makes it, whatever it is, more workable, doeable and leaves us with a sense of accommplishment of another day well done.

We continue to look for our best self and to know that WE ARE LOVED and ALL IS WELL.

Next month will be two years.

Love you all for hanging in there with us.
Deb

I haven't been on Shirley's forum for a while now, but I've just got up-to-date on this thread, and I am inspired! ShirleyMaclaine.com was my first internet foray into spirituality, and there are many good people here. Another site I would recommend is goldenageofgaia.com and it's accompanying Yahoo Discussion Group at http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/GoldenGaia. I suggest when you sign up to choose Daily Digest or No Mail (where you would just check messages on the site). There are so many messages that Individual mails would just clog your inbox. Messages are available at http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/GoldenGaia/conversations/messages after you become a member but you must be logged in to view messages.

Thanks to all the wonderful people everywhere, and:

Update on Sean T.

We had another wonderful day today. I baked Teriyaki Pork Loin, Chinese veggies and rice laced with the Japanese Palace House Dressing. Peg joined us for our lunch and we all watched "Safe House" with Danzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds - a very exciting movie so intune with the times.

Sean's fractured femur continues to heal and we will be going back to his Orthopedic Surgeon the 7th of August. Next surgery will be the knee replacement. But Sean is looking forward to that so that he may use his leg again and to get the prosthetic. The ultimate goal is to "walk again".

I am continually amazed at his ability to be so postive throughout the all of this. August 24th will be two years. Can you believe it has already been that long? Anyway, we continue to proceed forward in our healing with laughter everyday.

And I have great news about my employer, Carroll, she has sold the CPA firm. Met the new owners last Friday when they took us out to lunch. I have to say, there couldn't be a more perfect match. Seems like I have known them before. I just love it how my "Soul Group" keeps showing up.
So, they assured me that there will be no changes and that they are happy to have me to grow their new company. I felt "right at home with them". I am very blessed. And Carroll has already scheduled a trip to Holland in the spring. I, of course, will continue to take care of her kitty while she is gone on her traveling trips. She has become a dear friend. Or she was always a friend, I just met her again. ahahahhah!!!! Don't ya just love this life's journey>>>>>

I told Sean about Sister Lura today. They had connected on Facebook and he had grown to love her as we all have. He said, "We now have another Guardian Angel." I told him, "Yes, she is now closer to us than she was before."

Again, I thank you all for your continued participation in our journey of healing.

Intending for the highest good of all with love,
Deb

Glad Sean is continuing to heal....

Sounds like a very yummy day!

I can barely believe it has been almost two years since we found ourselves here. The time has flown. A little more work on Sean's leg and he will be good to go (after some therapy) and won't that be fun having your young man home.

I am so glad your job is not going to be an issue. Having soul family where ever you go certainly gives you a leg up. This will still be your ideal job. :)

I am sending loving healing energy to Sean and to you, Deb, and Peg. Touching all the bases. Want you all to get and stay well. For your highest good. Love, C.

I just love this and thought I would put it here:

Great Energy!

We have great energy going on here. Sean is embarking on yet another new wave and he is prospering in so many ways. After having overcome so many setbacks, Sean is now presenting himself as "I will walk again, instead of when I walk again." Something clicked in him and he "got" it. And the moment that that occurred, everything changed for him. The Universe heard and is now responding. So many blessings have and are coming to him this week.

I am so totally amazed at the power of the mind and our thoughts and intentions. I see it daily, how that works, not only with myself but with Sean.

And so grateful to be sharing that with the all of you, my sm.com family.

Love, Deb

debabbott 09-06-2013 06:25 PM

Oh what a wonderful day!

Since that simple little change in Sean's consciousness of stating "when" instead of "if", let me tell you of the changes that have been going on in his life. He immediately got wifi at the facility which he has been waiting for for 6 months and then he immediately connected with his girlfriend from high school on Facebook. She is coming tomorrow for a visit. Yes, isn't that exciting? What an adventure that will be.

I am so happy for my son for this weekend. And I am so happy for me as well. For tomorrow, I am not leaving my apartment. I get the day off! Yahoo!

Love you all and thank you for sharing in our beautiful experience of living.

Sean Home Visit!

Sean is coming home tomorrow for an over night visit. We are very excited about that. As well, we are excited that Sean stood up this week in the standing frame for over 10 minutes - first time in two years!!! So, progress is being made.

We are doing great, feeling so positive about everything. And hopefully, Sean's girlfriend will be able to join us this weekend. She is such a little angel.

Thank you all for your continued participation in our lives with your loving healing energies and your intentions for our highest good. It is so working. We are very blessed.

Love to you all,
