Recipes

Simply the Best

Sometimes the most simple dishes are the absolute best. I first had this salad in a tiny gasthaus in small town in Switzerland. I enjoyed it so much that every night the restaurant made certain they had a chilled platter waiting for me. There key to this recipe is fresh vegetables that are thinly sliced.

  • 2 Fresh ripe tomatoes sliced paper thin
  • 2 Fresh yellow onions sliced paper thin
  • 1/8 cup Fresh dill finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbs. Sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup Sesame oil

Layer the tomatoes and onions on a platter.
In a small bowl use a whisk to mix the fresh dill, sesame seeds and sesame oil.
Drizzle over the tomatoes and onions.
