Bowl of Energy in the Morning

Fast nutritional energy!

  • Stony Field Low-fat Plain Yogurt Chopped Walnuts Old Fashioned Quaker Oats Pineapple or Apple Ground flax seed or flax oil.

This is a flexible recipe. Use all or a few of the above ingredients, depending on what you have on hand and what you like.

1) Spoon a few tablespoons of yogurt in a bowl. Spoon as little or as much as you like.

2) Add ½ cup of Old Fashioned Quaker Oats. You will want the yogurt to soak up the oats to make them soft. You can do this at night, cover and put in the refrigerator or in the morning before you exercise and/or shower.

3) Cut up an apple or pineapple into chunks. Cut big or small. Whichever you like.

4) When you are ready to eat, add pineapple or apple to yogurt.

5) Add chopped walnuts. They are a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids (The good fat).

6) Add a tsp of flax oil or sprinkle ground flax seeds. Also a great source of Omega-3's.

7) Eat and energize.
