Each of us is born under one of these signs and each sign has its own element.

Empedocles taught that the original four Greek elements of nature (Earth, Air, Water and Fire) melded together in different proportions by tendencies of attraction and repulsion. Like the magnetic poles of north and south, certain signs have a harmony with others. Fire and Air attract each other, but Fire and Water repel each other.
