Numerology Monthly Numbers

January 2004

January, 2004, resonates to the numerological value of six. December, 2003, was also a six month. It is a number that generally indicates uncertainty and hesitance, but those traits can be overcome and need not be a part of our life. Much like a Mercury retrograde cycle, which we will be ending this month, a six month affords us many lessons in many areas of life. However, that is only true if we decide to accept the little pebbles (that may seem like boulders) in our paths as lessons leading to an ultimately beneficial result.

A truly personal lesson that each of us must face is our relationship to fear, which is fed by uncertainty and hesitance. Both December 2003 and January 2004 have seen the terror levels raised to high status. The media is fueling an underlying feeling of impending doom, which each of us feels on some level. It doesn't have to build within. This is actually an opportune month to take some time to ask yourself how you react and interact with that concept. If you find you are creating a relationship with fear based on global indicators such as these, it is time to examine what you really have to be afraid of. As in most cases of fear, it is the unknown or unexplained that provokes a reaction. If you use this month to release any fears (no matter what they are) that you may be facing, then you have turned the uncertainty and hesitance which accompany a six month into a rewarding experience.

This is also a materialistic time, as are all six months. Granted, we live in a dimension where we require a roof and food and creature comforts. Materialism is a part of this reality. But so is sharing. With the holidays ending, don't allow your gift-giving ability to come to a close. Spend some time teaching a child to read or lending a helping hand to an elderly person. Volunteer at your local animal shelter or food bank. It is possible to eradicate our own fears and those of people around us through simple acts of kindness and by remembering to treat others the way we would like to be treated. It is a gradual process but one that carries its own inertia.

Don't forget to tend to your own garden. There is a saying, "Prepare for the worst, expect the best and know that whatever happens will find its harmony for you." Stay centered and focused through meditation, reading and connecting to Nature. Look to the Divine to help release and remove uncertainty, hesitance and fear from your vocabulary and your energy. All of these can help make January 2004 a powerful and blessed beginning to the New Year.
