The belief that gemstones have curative properties and that stones can be used to heal dates back centuries. Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Greeks, Chinese, American Indians, East Indians, and most every other culture recorded the use of stones as tools for achieving health of the spirit, the body, and the mind.

This ancient practice called litho-therapy, from the Greek word “lithos”, which means stone, utilizes gems to rebalance and harmonize the body’s energy flow. Today this process is sometimes called crystal therapy or crystal healing.

The concept is simple. Everything has a corresponding energetic frequency. The chakras, through which the body’s energy flows, harmonize and are activated by specific stones whose frequency corresponds to each chakra.

The easiest way to enjoy litho-therapy is to wear the stone, which is one reason I designed Chakra Sky Jewelry. I also suggest that when you are meditating you place the corresponding stone on its chakra point for an even stronger connection.
